Reduced Visibility

Reduced Visibility

Fall is finally here! The temperature is getting cooler. The days are getting shorter. The trees are changing colors. The ground is soon to be covered in a lush carpet of fallen leaves. Sadly, many of these things combine together to form the perfect storm for accidents to happen. Both the shorter days and the leaves on the ground lead to reduced visibility, especially for those working or exercising outside.

Be careful walking on sidewalks, steps, and raised surfaces such as porches and decks. To help prevent any trips and falls, make sure all the exterior lights of your home are in working order and that you always keep a light source on you when you go outside later in the day. It may be super tempting to jump in those leaf piles but be strong and avoid them to reduce the risk of twisting your ankle on a hidden pothole or a missed step!

Happy fall everyone!
