Substance Abuse Testing Collector (Longview, TX)
The SAT Collector is responsible for performing all aspects of drug and alcohol testing in accordance with DATIA standards derived from the Department of Transportation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. SAT Center Operations Main Activities:
• Perform all aspects of drug and alcohol testing including hair tests, DNA tests and EBT
• Prepare clients for physicals
• Performs the essential steps in the collection of specimens
• Maintain the integrity of the collection process, ensuring the privacy of the donor, including the security of the specimen
• On-call status
• Coordination with offsite collection facilities for testing
• Knowledge of current laws and procedures

2. SAT Collections Main Activities:
• Must ensure all necessary supplies are available prior to the collection
• Ensure all collection kits conform to regulations
• Accurate completion of the Appropriate Custody and Control Forms (CCF’s)
• Completion of the chain of custody forms

3. SAT Collector Telephones, Shipping, Cleanliness, Supplies Main Activities:
• Maintain cleanliness in the areas of collection
• Prepare collections for shipping
• Answer telephones
• File maintenance and upkeep of SAT result records
• Daily stocking of kits in cabinets

Knowledge
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

The ability to pass a Certified Professional Collector certification test.
